Enrolment Process

When you decide to enrol your child in Kilkenny Steiner School the first step is filling in an application. You can request an application through the form above. This is available online. Printed copies of the application are available on request.

Once we receive the application form back, an interview between parents, teachers and child is arranged. Upon acceptance, parents will receive a School Handbook and an enrolment form, which needs to be completed and returned as soon as possible.

An application form can also be used to secure places for younger children or siblings in future years. Places can be limited, so early application is recommended.

Current Fee Structure for Kilkenny Steiner School

Kilkenny Steiner School is an independent private school which receives no Government funding and is thus dependent on fees and fundraising to cover its running costs. We endeavour to keep fees as low as we can with voluntary support. There are no ‘voluntary contributions’ or uniform costs and textbooks and most materials are provided by the school. We do ask for parental involvement with fundraising.

Standard fee: €3,840 per annum (payable in monthly instalments of €320)
Standard sibling fee (for second and subsequent children):  €3,000 per annum (payable in monthly instalments of €250)

We have a concessionary rate available for parents whose income falls below the threshold for medical card entitlement (i.e. holders of a non-discretionary medical card).

Concessionary fee: €3,000 per annum (payable in monthly instalments of €250)
Concessionary sibling fee (for second and subsequent children): €2,400 per annum (payable in monthly instalments of €200)

Fees are subject to annual review.

School fees are paid monthly, throughout the entire calendar year, including during the summer break. For children finishing school the final month for payment is July.

For children attending the Kindergarten, funding is available under the Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE). For Kindergarten fee structure please contact Ballyhall Kindergarten directly.
